Shujaa completed their Pool C fixtures in Singapore with a 17-33 loss to Uruguay on Saturday afternoon.
Herman Humwa put Shujaa ahead, intercepting and scoring at the corner before Uruguay settled into the match and were rewarded for their pressure, eventually scoring through Felipe Arcos Perez with Guillermo Lijtenstein converting for a 7-5 lead.
They added a second try, Baltazar Amaya touching down for a 12-5 score.
Edmund Anya would soon carry the ball forward for Shujaa, playing in Brian Tanga who beat his Uruguay defenders with the dummy and sprint to score under the posts, Tony Omondi converting to tie the scores, 12-12 at the interval.
Second half tries from Tomas Etcheverry and Mateo Vinals with two Ignacio Alvarez conversions took Uruguay 33-12 up before Alvin Otieno scored at the death to confirm the full time result.
