The Kenya Simbas ended their Rugby World Cup 2019 Repechage campaign with a 6-43 loss in the hands of Germany.
Sammy Oliech gave Simbas their first points as be booted in a penalty in the first two minutes of the match. Twenty minutes later, Germany responded with a converted try taking the 7-3 lead. The Ian Snook charges relentlessly knocked on their opponents try line for a few minutes that were assisted by infringements by Germany. The first attempt in adding an extra three points was futile as the ball bounced off the posts. The second attempt was successful as it took the Simbas to a one point deficit. Germany led 7-6. The Germans added on to their tally as they drilled in a try off a rolling maul extending their lead to 12-6 at the stroke of Half time.
In the second half, the Germans did not leave anything to chance as they landed five tries and three conversions for the full time scores to read 43-6. Simbas suffering their third loss in the tournament.
The Repechage was the last chance for either of the four teams; Kenya, Germany, Hong Kong or Canada to grab the final RWC2019 Pool B spot.
