Shujaa finished their Commonwealth Games campaign in joint seventh after losing out to Scotland 22-12 in the fifth place semifinal on Sunday 31 July 2022 at the Coventry Stadium.
They trailed 0-10 at the break through tries from Jordan Edmunds and Harvey Elms before recovering to lead 12-10 through tries from Nelson Oyoo and Daniel Taabu with Tony Omondi adding a conversion before Kaleem Barreto and Ross McCann sunk Shujaa with late tries.
The team had earlier lost 31-0 to New Zealand in the cup quarterfinal.
