Shujaa exited the Hong Kong 7s following a 13th place semifinal 7-10 defeat to Uruguay on Sunday morning.
The side scored their sole try through Kevin Wekesa with Tony Omondi converting but the Uruguayans responded with tries from Mateo Vinals and Bautista Basso.
The team had earlier lost its Challenge Trophy quarterfinal 0-43 to New Zealand after finishing bottom of the log in Pool D after losses to Argentina, Ireland and Canada.
