Kenya Sevens will make their grand return to the HSBC SVNS series when the 2025 season starts in November this year. They reclaimed their core side spot during the 2024 Challenger Series final in Madrid when they beat Germany 33-15 on 2nd June 2024.
Following rugby sevens’ celebrated ‘coming of age’ on the Olympic stage in Paris, World Rugby has today confirmed the first five destinations and dates of the highly anticipated HSBC SVNS 2025, with further events to be added in the coming weeks.The Series kicks off with the Emirates Dubai Sevens from 30th November to 1st December 2024 at The Sevens Stadium. The teams will then move on to the DHL Stadium in Cape Town for the second round on 7-8 December 2024.
Shujaa and Uruguay are the men’s teams making a return to the core side to join the series defenders’ Argentina, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, France, Fiji, South Africa, Great Britain, USA and Spain.
The five confirmed tournaments are:
Dubai Sevens – 30th November- 1st December
Cape Town Sevens – 7th/8th December
Perth Sevens – 24th-26th January
Vancouver Sevens – 21st-23rd February
Hong Kong Sevens – 28th-30th March
