Kenya Rugby Union and Radio Africa Group officially launched their five-year Broadcasting partnership at the RFUEA Grounds on Friday 12th October.
The partnership that takes effect from the start of the 2018-2019 season to the end of the 2022-2023 season, will see Bamba Sports air the live matches during the Kenya Cup season, Enterprise Cup, the Stanbic Bank National Sevens Circuit and Safari Sevens within the five years.
This partnership will see rugby reach millions of Kenyans across the Country through Bamba Sports as it’s on the Free to Air set top boxes.
The Lauch began with the KRU Ag. CEO giving a brief history of Kenya Cup before she introduced the Clubs representative and Kenya Cup Chairman Xavier Makuba who thanked Radio Africa for this Partnership and assured them that all the teams will be ready to work with the Media. The Vice Chairman Thomas Opiyo thanked Radio Africa for having faith in the Union and coming on board to help grow and support the game for the next five years.

The Radio Africa Group CEO, Patrick Quarcoo made it very clear that this Partnership covers all codes of the game that is run by the Kenya Rugby Union. Bamba Sports has exclusive rights to air all Kenya Rugby matches on TV.
The 2018-2019 season will see Bamba sports cover the matches that will be played in these four venues: RFUEA Grounds, Impala Grounds, KCB Grounds and NAC Grounds. The partnership will also see Bamba Sport develop a 30-minute weekly analysis show.
