The Simbas Outside Centre Peter Kilonzo has been appointed by Head Coach Paul Odera to Captain the Simbas squad traveling to Kisumu for the first leg of the Elgon Cup fixture.
Kilonzo joined the team back in 2016 featuring for The Simbas in their Thursday night clash against Hong Kong, however he was first capped one year later, against Hong Kong in a fixture that The Simbas lost 43-33 to the visitors at the RFUEA Grounds.
He has since then featured in all The Simbas outings to date.
“I am honoured to have been appointed as The Simbas Captain. It shows that the Coach believes in my leadership skills as well as that of Elkeans Musonye who is my Vice Captain. We are looking forward to the Elgon Cup fixture this weekend and since we’re relatively a young team, we plan on sticking to our structures,” said a very enthusiastic Kilonzo.
The Simbas fixture against the Uganda Cranes will kick off at 4:00pm at the Mamboleo Showgrounds. Tickets are available at tikohub.co.ke going for Ksh. 400/- for the regular advance tickets. The offer runs upto Wednesday 19th June and thereafter, the regular ticket price will be Kshs. 500/-. VIP Tickets are 1500/- both advance and at the gate.
