The Shujaa Head Coach gives an update on the teams preparations so far ahead of the USA 7s on the 1st-3rd of March.
Condolences to The Impala Saracens Fraternity.
First and foremost on behalf of Shujaa team we send our deepest condolences to the family of Richard Sidindi and the Resolution Impala Saracens family on the untimely death of Sidindi. May God give them strength and courage during this hard time. We celebrated him as one of our player, team mate and friend. May the Real Jadhah Rest In Peace.
Team’s training sessions.
We did our gym and field sessions on Tuesday very well. On Wednesday had a field session to finalize on the team plays, defense set plays and attack. Our plan for Thursday is to have a video review in the morning and afterwards the team can rest before we head out for our Captain’s run on Friday morning as we wait for evening kick off against USA. Our biggest challenge has been retaining the kick offs and this is an area we’ve worked on over the past few days. There will be an improvement when we get to the pitch. When it comes to the weather conditions, Vegas is cold compared to Nairobi but four days into our stay here and the boys are slowly adjusting to the weather. They are also in good spirits and ready for the battle a head.
