Lionesses flyhalf Sarah Oluche remains positive of a good showing from the team at next week’s Rugby Africa Cup Pool B action in Kampala, Uganda.
Oluche, who plays for Women’s Kenya Cup champions Mwamba said, “Training has been good, the girls have been gelling in very well.”
“So far, so good. We are positive, we are putting in so much hard work. We are ready for all the teams that we will be playing in the pool.”
The Lionesses will face Zambia and hosts Uganda in the three tournament that will be played on a round robin basis. They start their campaign with a clash against Zambia on Saturday 29 October 2022 before taking on hosts Uganda on Wednesday 2 November 2022.
The winner of this pool will qualify for next year’s Pool A competition which also features continental champions South Africa and Namibia.
The Lionesses have been in non-residential training under the tutelage of former Kenya Sevens international Dennis Mwanja who is expected to name the travelling squad next week.
