Kenya Sevens started their CapeTown 7s campaign on a low as they lost 21-14 to France.
Sammy Oliech went over the whitewash and converted his own try giving Shujaa a 7-0 lead. The ball was spread wide to find Oscar Ouma who gained ground for an eventual Brian Tanga try at the stroke of half time, Shujaa leading 14-0.
Second half saw France land two converted tries through JeanBaptiste Mazoue and Jean Pascal Barraque. With less than two minutes left in the match and Shujaa in possession of the ball, France’s Stephen Parez would quickly intercept a Brian Tanga pass and dash for the try line landing his side’s third try with the third conversion successfully going over.
