Moi University Arsonists were this afternoon crowned the Division II champions after beating USIU Rugby 15-12 in a thrilling final at the ASK Mamboleo Showgrounds.
The Arsonists took an early 5-0 lead over USIU but USIU were quick to level the scores to 5-5 after Captain Sammy Onyango went over the whitewash. Scores at half time were 5 all.
Second half saw Onyango score his second try with the conversion splitting the posts into half thus extending his team’s lead to 12-5.
The Arsonists, quick to their feet scored two tries with the conversions sailing wide in both occasions to lift the Div II trophy with a 15-12 win over USIU.
The win will see them kick off their #NSC2018 campaign in division one.
