The Lionesses finished fourth overall at the HSBC Challenger 2024 final in Krakow, Poland after going down 26-7 to Belgium in the third place playoff on Sunday 19 May. Sinaida Nyachio converted Naomi Amuguni’s try in this match.
They defeated Argentina 22-5 to reach the semis in a match that saw Judith Okumu, Stella Wafula, Sharon Auma and Phoebe Otieno with Nyachio kicking over one converision.
A 21-15 semifinal loss to hosts Poland followed, Judith Okumu, Sinaida Nyachio and Phoebe Otieno scoring for the Lionesses who now turn their focus to the Olympic Repechage tournament, having missed out on qualification to the HSBC SVNS Madrid playoff.
