The Kenya Cup defending Champions kick off the 2018/2019 season with Menengai Oilers at the RFUEA Grounds at 4:00pm. Oilers were promoted to the top tier after finishing the 2017/2018 as the Championship runners up falling to Mean Machine in the final.
This match will be aired live on Bamba Sports immediately after the Menengai Cream Homeboyz RFC and Nondescript RFC match that kicks off at 2:00pm in the same venue. The other four Kenya Cup fixtures on day one see Kabras Sugar RFC host Mean Machine at the ASK Kakamega Showgrounds, Resolution Impala Saracens welcome Blakblad at the Impala Grounds while Top Fry Nakuru travel to Madaraka to play Strathmore Leos. All the Kenya Cup matches will kick off at 4:00pm.
The Kenya Harlequins and Stanbic Mwamba match will be played on Sunday at 4:00pm at the RFUEA Grounds. The match was moved to Sunday to allow the Kenya Harlequins Fraternity to lay their fallen brother, David ‘Muttley’ Gitau to rest as his burial will be on Saturday 17th November.

In the KRU Championship league, Coast Region will host two matches as the Regional Logistics Mombasa RFC will host Ngong RFC at the Mombasa Sports Club while South Coast Pirates welcome the Catholic Monks at the St. Joseph Primary School Ukunda.
The Rift Valley Region will also have two matches taking place at the Egerton University Njoro when Egerton Wasps play USIU and University of Eldoret host Kisumu RFC at UoE Eldoret. The last two fixtures in this league see Resolution Kisii RFC host Kitale at the Gusii Stadium while MMUST host Western Bulls at the school’s pitch.
