The Kenya Rugby Union held a meeting with the Senior Shujaa players: all those who participated in the 2017/2018 HSBC World Sevens Series and agreed to terms on a return to work formula for the remaining part of the season.
“The boys are welcome in the team. They will be given an equal opportunity to train and a chance to be selected to play in the remaining legs. We still retain all the players that have been training and playing in the last 6 legs of the 2018/2019 season.” Said Paul Murunga, the Shujaa Head Coach.
The KRU Chief Executive Officer, Sylvia Kamau, echoed the Coach’s words and stated that the Union is glad that both parties have come to agreement with four legs left in the 2018/2019 HSBC World Sevens Series season.
The team resumes training on Tuesday 19th March and the final squad will travel on the 31st of April for the Hong Kong7s where they are in Pool C alongside Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.
