This morning, Friday 27th December 2024, we woke up to the unfortunate news that the great Janet Wanja had passed away. She has been an instrumental figure in the Volleyball and greater sporting fraternity, playing for the Kenya Pipeline Volleyball team and the Women’s National Volleyball Team, The Malkia Strikers.
The Kenya Rugby Union sends its heartfelt condolences to Wanja’s Family, Friends, The Kenya Volleyball Federation together with the NOC-K. Wanja has served our country proudly and was an inspiration to many. We pray for the Almighty God to rest her soul in Eternal Peace and that she will be remembered for the great Champion that she was.
