Kenya Lionesses head coach Dennis Mwanja has named the twenty three ladies squad that will be taking on Madagascar at 3:00PM on twentieth September 2024 at the RFUEA grounds Ngong road.The test match plays a pivotal role in the Lionesses position in the overall world rugby ranking.The match is also bound to serve as a preparation match for Madagascar who will be competing in this year`s WXV3 tournament in Dubai.
The team is captained by Sheila Chajira who is assisted by Natasha Emali .Naomi Jelagat and Chebet Maureen pair up in the locks holding position four and five respectively.Captain Natasha headlines the frontrows together with Naomi Muhanji and Rose Atieno.The pairing of Diana Kemunto and Enid Ouma sit in at backrow with Captain Sheila Chajira filling in position eight.
Edith Nariaka and Grace Okulu pair up at half backs holding in position nine and ten respectively.Terry Ayesa controls the blind wing at position eleven while Freshia Awino is on the open wing.Stella Wafula and Maureen Muritu oversee the mid field at position twelve and thirteen.Sinaida Mokaya closes in for the backs coming in at position fifteen.
