Kenya Harlequin RFC lifted the 2024 Ingo 7s trophy after seeing off KCB 17-12 in a thriller of a final on Sunday 4th August 2024 at the ASK Kakamega Showgrounds.

KCB was first to cross the whitewash through Elvis Olukusi who cut through his defenders to land two tries, one of which was converted successfully while the other one drifted wide. Quins quickly reduced the gap with a converted try courtesy of Alela and scores at halftime read 12-7 in favour of the bankers.

Quins were quick on attack in the second half which resulted in some beautiful distribution of the ball by Lucky Dewald to find Brian Ratila who landed a corner post try to level the scores to 12-12. Both teams matched up in defense since they were unable to go over the whitewash up to full time meaning the match would proceed to extra time where the first person to score would secure the victory.

KCB kicked off in the extra time, Quins deprived KCB  as they made their way to the try line. KCB’s defensive wall was quickly broken as Dewald dotted down a corner post try to secure the victory for the oldest Kenyan Rugby Club. From the skills displayed in the match, Lucky was named the #Ingo7s player of the final.
