Kenya Lioness backed up their 44-13 home win over Uganda Lady Cranes in the first leg in June, with a 35-5 victory in the return match, to win 79-18 on aggregate.
This was a historic win as it was the highest score aggregate against Uganda Lady Cranes to date and it also pushed Kenya Lioness to their highest ranking by World Rugby at number 28.
Kenya Lioness headed into the return leg clash without backs Sophia Ayieta, Angeline Apiyo and forward Knight Otwoma who were rested, as well as No.9 Veronicah Wanjiku who had school commitment.
Kenya Lioness poured the pressure on from the outset, camping in Uganda Lady Cranes half for the first quarter, with their forwards matching the much bigger Uganda Lady Cranes forwards at the breakdowns and in scrummaging.

Any hopes of a Uganda Lady Cranes’ comeback were doused when the blistering pace of Kenya Lioness full back Janet Okello opened up their defense for her to score the final try for Kenya Lioness, Grace Adhiambo missing the conversion to bring the score to 35-0.
