The Simba technical bench will hold the final trial match at the RFUEA Ground at 2.00pm on Sunday 6 May 2018 prior to finalizing the squad for the 2018 season whose highlight is the Rugby Africa Gold Cup which doubles up as the African qualifying round for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Two squads handled by Kenya Cup club coaches Frank Ndong, Curtis Olago, Charles Cardovillis and Paul Murunga have been named and feature a dozen players outside the main squad, which suggests there might well be some changes to the World Cup squad when it is named next week.Coaches Ian Snook and Murray Roulston were pleased with last week’s trial as it threw up several new faces but suggested that there is still a lot to do. They are particularly looking for a more free-flowing game this Sunday.
