Defending Champions KCB Rugby Headline Pool A: Christies 7s 

The much-anticipated SportPesa National 7s Circuit kicks off this weekend with the 57th edition of the Christie 7s. It will kick off with a thrilling lineup of teams divided into four competitive pools. Defending champions KCB Rugby headline Pool A, where they will face competition from Nondescripts, Homeboyz Rugby, and Impala RFC.

Pool B promises to be equally exciting with last year’s first runners-up and 2022 circuit champions, Kabras Sugar, joining forces with Nakuru RFC, Kisumu RFC, and Catholic Monks.

Hosts Kenya Harlequin find themselves in Pool C, where they will go head-to-head with Strathmore Leos, Kenya University’s Blak Blad, and Daystar Falcons.

Rounding off the pools is Pool D, featuring Menengai Oilers, Mwamba RFC, Masinde Muliro, and 2023 Division II winners, University of Eldoret.

2024 Christie 7s Pools:

Pool A: KCB Rugby, Nondescripts, Homeboyz Rugby, Impala RFC
Pool B: Kabras Sugar, Nakuru RFC, Kisumu RFC, Catholic Monks
Pool C: Strathmore Leos, Kenya Harlequin, KU Blak Blad, Daystar Falcons
Pool D: Menengai Oilers, Mwamba RFC, Masinde Muliro, University of Eldoret

In the women’s competition, defending champions Impala Ladies headline Pool A, joined by NYS Ladies, Northern Suburbs, and hosts Kenya Harlequins Ladies. Pool B features the formidable Mwamba Ladies, Western Spears, Ruck IT, and Meru Ladies.

The Christie 7s, will span three days. Friday will feature the Age-Grade tournament, while the main Christie 7s tournament will take center stage from the  27th – 28th July 2024.

This years SportPesa National 7s Circuit gears up as a road to the prestigious 2024 Safari 7s tournament.
