A second loss at the Cape Town 7s means Shujaa are out of the cup competition.
This follows their 5-31 defeat to New Zealand this morning at the Cape Town Stadium.
New Zealand went ahead through Akulla Rokolisoa’s try and conversion and Amanaki Nicole’s unconverted effort before Billy Odhiambo barged over for Shujaa’s consolation, the scores 12-5 at the break.
Further tries from Roderick Solo, Moses Leo, Brady Rush and Caleb Tangitau with two conversions from Rokolisoa sealed the result for New Zealand.
Shujaa play their final Pool C game against Spain at 3.26pm EAT.
