On Wednesday 21st August at the RFUEA Grounds, Kenya Rugby Union and HACO Industries announced that Amara is the Kenya Simbas Official Grooming Partner as the team prepares for the Elgon Cup tournament in November this year. This partnership comes with a KES 1.5Million support for the Simbas preparations
Speaking during the launch, HACO Industries Managing Director Mary-Ann Musangi shared these remarks “This landmark partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union aligns Amara with one of the most beloved sports in the country. Just as the Simbas demonstrate strength and resilience on the field, Amara is committed to supporting them every step, ensuring their skin is healthy and protected through every intense match. Our products, infused with natural African oils, are designed to cleanse, moisturize, and rejuvenate—keeping our athletes looking and feeling confident before, during, and after their games,”
The Kenya Rugby Union Chairman, Sasha Mutai, thanked Amara for supporting the Simbas as we work towards going to the Rugby World Cup in 2027. “This team, the Simbas can take us to the Rugby World Cup, Amara also supported the team when we went to Uganda for the RAC.,” he said.
“The tournament showed us where we are as a country and we’re not yet at the top but we have one year to work on the team and ensure we’re ready for the RWC Qualifiers next year.” he concluded.
The Simbas Team Manager thanked Amara for standing with the 15s teams since in 2019, Amara supported Chipu during the Junior World Rugby Trophy and this year, they are back to support Simbas.
