Defending champions All Saints proved their title credentials once again as they claimed top spot in Pool A on day two of the ongoing KSSSA National High School Games at Shimo La Tewa School.The second round of the pool matches kicked off with action from Pool B, where Kisii High School registered their first win of the tournament after a strong 20-5 performance over Marafa. In the next fixture, Vihiga and Bwake Boys went head-to-head in a closely contested match that saw Vihiga edge their opponents 5-3 to maintain their unbeaten run.Following today’s results, Vihiga now lead Pool B with two wins, Kisii move up to second, Bwake drop to third, while Marafa remain rooted at the bottom.
In the afternoon, attention shifted back to Pool A, where a much-anticipated clash between Upperhill and All Saints took centre stage. The defending champions held their nerve to secure a 9-3 win, ensuring they remain unbeaten and on top of the table.The day concluded with Mang’u bouncing back from their opening day defeat to beat Serani 15-7 in an energetic display. The win sees Mang’u climb to third in Pool A, while Serani find themselves at the foot of the standings.The final round of the pool stage will be played tomorrow, with teams battling for a spot in the semi-finals as the race for the national title heats up.
