The 2019 #Christie7s and the penultimate round of the Stanbic Bank National Sevens Circuit takes place on the 31st of August and 1st of September at the Home of Kenya Harlequins, the RFUEA Grounds.
As it stands, eleven points are separating the top five teams on the #Stanbic7s log; KCB are top with 72 points coming off two cup titles in #Kakamega7s and #Dala7s, a fourth place finish in Meru during the #Kabeberi7s and a fifth place finish at the just concluded #Prinsloo7s. Stanbic Mwamba are second with 69 points. Kulabu has also lifted two trophies: their home tournament, #Kabeberi7s and the #Prinsloo7s. In Kakamega, they came in third and ninth in #Dala7s. Top Fry Nakuru and the Menengai Cream Homeboyz have a total of 64 points each while Menengai Oilers are fifth with 61 points.
Heading into the #Christie7s, Stanbic Mwamba headline the Division One Pools in Pool A alongside Strathmore Leos, Nondescript and Egerton Wasps. The #Christie7s defending Champions Menengai Cream Homeboyz are in Pool B where they are joined by Resolution Impala Saracens, hosts Kenya Harlequins and the invitational side Stanbic Bank Pirates from Uganda.
Top Fry Nakuru RFC who finished third in the #Prinsloo7s find themselves top of Pool C where they’ll play Kabras Sugar RFC, Masinde Muliro University and South African based Blue Bulls and TUKS. Menengai Oilers, KCB, Northern Suburbs and Daystar Falcons make up Pool D of the Christie7s.
