Saturday 9th November will be a rugby-packed action day at the RFUEA Grounds with matches kicking off from as early as 10:00am before the Kenya Simbas take on Uganda Cranes at 4:00pm.
Future Kenya Rugby stars Kings of Rugby and AfriImpact Sports Academy will start us off with their U16 Boys category fixture. Kings of Rugby are based in Karen and they train weekly at the RFUEA Grounds while AfriImpact Sports Academy is a team based in Rongai and they have their training sessions at Catholic University. Charles Njoroge, a former Quins player is the current coach of Kings of Rugby while Maxwell Omondi, a former Upperhill student/rugby player and is currently playing for the Catholic Monks.
At midday, KCB Rugby will face the Kenya Harlequin in a pre-Kenya Cup friendly match. This will be the first competitive fifteens match for the Paul Murunga Charges since the conclusion of the Enterprise Cup while KCB has featured in the recently concluded Impala Floodlit tournament.
We will then get to enjoy the eagerly awaited fixture at 4:00pm when the Kenya Simbas kick off their Elgon Cup title defense. The team has been in a residential camp in Kakamega preparing for this fixture and they are expected to arrive in Nairobi on Wednesday 6th November.
