The dala sevens 2024 came to a close at the Jomo Kenyatta stadium in Kisumu after an action packed weekend.The division two showcased alot of action starting from the challenge trophy finals and cup quarter finals.
The challenge trophy began with Kisii Kifaru beating shamberere 28-00.Northern Suburbs picked the second win of the day after a 14-05 victory over Bungoma RFC. Mean Machine also beat Homabay 19-07 booking a slot in the semi-finals.Sigalagala were the final winners of the challenge trophy quarter finals after a 12-10 win over Vihiga Granites.
In the cup quarter finals AP Warriors secured a slot in the semi-finals after beating TUM Marines 19-07.MKU also booked a slot in the semi-finals after a 17-05 win against Embu RFC.Tororo rfc also beat mbale 10-05 as Kabarak took the last semi-final slot beating NYS Spades 12-05.
In the semi finals ,MKU Thika beat Tororo 12-05 booking a slot in the finals.Kabarak also booked a slot in the finals after beating AP Warriors 19-05.Bungoma and Homabay clashed in the thirteenth place final where Homabay emerged victorious with a 28-00 win.Northern Suburbs won the challenge trophy after a 17-14 win over Sigalagala.Embu RFC were crowned the fifth place winners after a 21-12 win against TUM.Tororo RFC were the Bronze winners after edging out AP Warriors 12-05.In the finals MKU Thika edged out Kabarak 17-07 to be crowned the 2024 Dala sevens division two champions and consequently book a slot in the division one at the Kabeberi sevens.
