Kabras Sugar marched into their third cup final of the season with a 15-0 victory over KCB in Nakuru on Sunday afternoon. Tries from Griffin Chao, Jone Kubu and Brian Tanga did the job for Kabras.
They will face off with Kenya Harlequin who reached their first cup final this season with a 14-10 win over defending champions Menengai Oilers.
Amon Wamalwa converted Zedden Marrow’s brace for Quins while Denis Abukuse and Stephen Arunga replied for the Oilers.
Fifth place semis
Strathmore Leos reached the fifth place playoff final with a comprehensive 28-12 win over hosts Nakuru. Gabriel Ayimba scored two tries with Collins Maina and Shem Okola also touching down as Steve Osumba kicked over four conversions. Nakuru responded with tries from Gilbert Ochieng and Hannington Wabwire as James Macharia kicked over one conversion.
Mwamba needed a try in sudden death to beat Homeboyz 17-12 after the two sides were tied 12-12 at the close of regulation time. Brian Mutua scored twice for Homeboyz with Brayan Juma adding a conversion while Mwamba responded with Tony Omondi try and conversion before Brian Ayimba brace struck a brace, his second try winning the game for the black shirts.
Challenge semifinals
Daystar Falcons defeated Nondescripts 24-0 to reach the Challenge Trophy final. Patrick Odongo scored two tries with Floyd Wabwire and Clinton Amukwachi landing one each as Clinton Kioko kicked over two conversions.
Paywick Munoko scored twice as Masinde Muliro defeated Catholic Monks 26-10 to set up a date with Daystar Falcons. Nelson Makokha and Veron Kaburu scored a try each Byron Ogada stroking home three conversions while Victor Omupere and Patrick Ochieng touched down for Monks.
