Challenge Trophy Quarterfinals
Nondescripts ensured survival in the first division at the SportPesa National 7s Circuit after defeating Kisumu 12-10 in their Challenge Trophy quarterfinal fixture at the Prinsloo 7s on Sunday morning in Nakuru.
It was Kisumu who led through unconverted tries from Elvince Odhiambo and Maurice Kennedy before Nondies responded with tries from Calvin Sheunda and Rayan Odua with Fidens Tony converting to seal the victory.
Daystar Falcons defeated Blak Blad 21-12 in a match that saw Trevor Opondo, Samuel Ovwamu and Floyd Wabwire touch down for the Falcons with Clinton Kioko slotting home three conversions. Arthur Gundaru and Saleh Wesonga scored for Blad with Ian Kituku managing a conversion.
Catholic Monks were 19-10 winners over Western Bulls as Masinde Muliro defeated Zetech 24-19.
Masinde Muliro’s Paywick Munoko scored twice with Kaburu Veron and Maboni Sam touching down once each.
Anderson Oduor scored two tries for Zetech and weighed in with a conversion as Brayan Ondego also scored a try and conversion.
