A 33-12 victory over Japan saw Shujaa close out the France 7s in 13th place in Toulouse on Sunday 14 May 2023.
They led 21-7 at the interval through tries from John Okoth, Brian Tanga and Edmund Anya with Tanga managing two conversions as Johnstone Olindi kicked over one.
Tanga landed another try after the restart with Jeff Oluoch getting on the scoreboard, his try converted by Olindi to confirm the result.
Shujaa will now play in a four team playoff in London alongside Uruguay, Canada and Tonga to determine the 12th team for next season’s World Rugby Sevens Series.
