Shujaa fell to a second defeat at the Singapore 7s, going down 19-21 to the USA on Saturday morning.
The Americans raced into a 14-0 lead through tries from Perry Baker and Lucas Lacamp with Steve Tomasin converting both but a well worked try from Nelson Oyoo complimented by Tony Omondi’s conversion brought the score to 14-7 at half time.
Omondi then converted Alvin Otieno’s try after the break to restore parity, the scores now 14-14 before Baker landed his brace, Tomasin converting for 21-14.
George Ooro’s try at the death was a well worked effort, too little too late as the USA claimed the result.
