Following the conclusion of the disciplinary process after the attack on center referee Saidi Kenya during the KRU Championship semifinal match between Shamas Rugby Foundation and Catholic Monks at the RFUEA Ground on Saturday 19 March 2022, the following players from Shamas Rugby Foundation have been sanctioned as follows.
- Julian Owino 156 weeks (3 years), sanction runs from 26 March 2022 to 25 March 2025.
- James Kang’ethe 286 weeks (5 and a half years), sanction runs from 26 March 2022 to 25 September 2027
- Joseph Kang’ethe 312 weeks (6 years), sanction runs from 26 March 2022 to 25 March 2028.
