On Sunday 28th November, the Kenya Rugby Union through it’s accredited World Rugby Educators Sarah Otieno, Adelaide Nasambu and Paul Kilonzo conducted a Level 1 Officiating course for the local women teams.
The course was held at the RFUEA Grounds where a total of 16 players attended the course. “The purpose of conducting this course is to ensure that the girls have a broader understanding of the game during their training sessions and competitions,” said Sarah.
Of those who attended the course, the expectation is that they will be able to influence their application of the laws back in their clubs especially to those who were unable to make it for the course.
The 2021/2022 Kenya Cup league now includes women’s fixtures that is aimed at growing the women’s game in the 15s version.
