The Lionesses were seeded first at the close of the first day of the Africa Women’s Sevens in Monastir, Tunisia and will play Morocco in the first cup quarterfinal when day two action resumes on Sunday.
They topped Pool B, starting the day with a 27-5 win over Madagascar, Janet Okello, Janet Owino,Celestine Masinde, Sinaida Aura and Stacy Awuor all going over the chalk.
Up next was Senegal, a match that ended 38-0 in their favor, Okello landing thrice, the returning Rachael Mbogo with two tries and Celestine Masinde with a try.
The massive 47-0 result over Zimbabwe secured top spot in the Pool and overall, ahead of the reseeding process.
