With global sport, rugby included, on a hiatus as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we took the time to go through the record books and compile this list of Kenya’s all time try scorers on the World Sevens Series.
Collins Injera, who is still active for Shujaa, tops the list with 279 tries to date, the second highest tally of all time on the World Sevens Series.
His elder brother Humphrey Kayange,now retired from national team duty is second on 159 tries while Willy Ambaka is third on 123 tries.
Billy Odhiambo ( 88 tries) and Oscar Ouma (79 tries) round off the top five with Sidney Ashioya (72 tries), Andrew Amonde (64 tries), Innocent Simiyu (58 tries), Dennis Mwanja (57 tries) and Lavin Asego (53) tries seeing off the top ten.
